Annual Meeting/Mayor's Awards for the Arts
On Thursday, July 18, 2024 the Allied Arts Council will host the Annual Membership Meeting and The Mayor’s Awards for the Arts at the Benton Club. For over 30 years the Mayor’s Awards have honored and celebrated people and organizations that contribute to the vibrancy of the arts and/or increase access to arts experiences in St. Joseph, Missouri.
Awards in six categories will be presented during the event. They are: Artist of the Year; Arts Educator of the Year; Youth Artist; Organizational Achievement in the Arts; Individual Leadership and Outstanding Volunteer.
“The Mayor’s Awards for the Arts and annual meeting is a night to celebrate the arts, to bring together people who create, value, and support the arts”, according to Executive Director Jessica Agnew.

The event will be July 18, beginning with cocktails at 5:30 p.m. at the Benton Club, 402 North 7th Street, in conjunction with the Allied Arts Council’s Annual Meeting.
