Inspiration for the Artwork : “It was inspired by my friendship with Kristi which dates all the way back to when I was barely 3 and she was 2 1/2 or so. My mother used to say that when we moved to Altus, OK, she had stuck her head in the house to see where the movers put something and when she came back there were 2 little blond haired girls on the front lawn instead of just me. After that we were inseparable for years. Kristi originally lived 2 doors down from me until late elementary. We were a grade apart and attended the same elementary mostly, and the same high school. We kept in touch, albeit loosely some years but we have never lost the deep trust that comes from knowing someone closely for so long.”
