Inspiration for the Artwork : "I am intrigued by the interplay of movement and balance. Movement can enable an object to temporarily defy gravity.

One of my favorite subjects for my sculpture is figures in action. I attempt to capture the posture and grace of the subject with a minimal of detail. My work is very stylized and sometimes abstract. Often a piece can appear somewhat odd, and yet at the same time very familiar. My goal is to communicate the essence of the figure and action taking place.

With this piece I challenged myself to create a minimalistic figure that express joy and happiness."
