DANCE – CREATIVE MOVEMENT

Program Length: 30-45 minutes

Marla Heeler, owner of The Dance Arts Center, brings over 30 years of teaching experience to her classes, helping young students to unlock creativity and problem solving through dance. Students will learn about general space, level, directions, rhythm and expression of feelings. Students will learn the benefits of dance and movement through stretching, building strength and the release of tension. Younger students can explore general space and problem solving along with creating their own dance phrases. Several programs are available and could include learning to tell a story through dance, the examination of dance history, and the colorful characters that have helped to shape the dance world.
