 heelock will guide students through the process of turning a small sketch 
 or study into a large\, finished studio painting. He will share the proces
 s he uses\; topics covered will include enlargement strategies\, how to bl
 ock-in a piece\, underpainting considerations\, brushwork\, layering\, and
  more. By the end of the day students will have a strong start on developi
 ng a large studio version of a sketch.\n\n** Please note students should h
 ave reference material and at least a partial sketch in paint completed pr
 ior to starting the workshop.\n\nMaterial List:\n\n- Finished or partially
  finished study (this should be a small piece you’d like to create into a 
 larger studio painting)\n\n- Stretched canvas or a prepared panel\, size 1
 2x16\, 16x20\, 20x20\, 12x24\, or 18x24\n\n- Reference photo\n\n- Painting
  medium of choice (oil\, acrylic\, wm oil)\n\n** I prefer a limited palett
 e of titanium white\, ultramarine blue\, phthalo blue\, cadmium or naphtho
 l red\, alizarin crimson permanent\, hanse yellow or lemon yellow\, and bu
 rnt umber. Feel free to bring the colors you are most comfortable with.\n
 \n- Brushes\n\n- Jar for solvent (mineral spirts for oil\, water for wm oi
 l or acrylic)\n\n- Palette knife\n\n- Pencil\n\n- Easer\n\n- Ruler\n\nHOW
